WICKIUP PLAIN AND ROCK MESA, THREE SISTERS WILDERNESS AREA, HIGH CASCADES, OREGON

A view across Wickiup Plain of the Rock Mesa obsidian flow, The summit of South Sisters Volcano (10,358 ft. ASL) can be seen peeking to
the east above the front of the flow. The minor peak to the west is The Wife. The pumice flat that makes up the plain is covered by pumice
and small fragments of obsidian that were explosively ejected from the Rock Mesa vent about 2,000 years ago.
